Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Brand Manager to join their team.
An expert in the Retail and FMCG sector, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing activities to meet business objectives and exceed customers expectations.
You will have similar experience and have the ability to build relationships with all departments within the business.
Role Profile:
Proactively developing the marketing plans for your areas of responsibility, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the business brands. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing activity to meet business objectives and exceed customer’s expectations. You will drive process improvement and develop expertise in your area of responsibility, from both internal and external sources.
Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Sales team to highlight potential opportunities for promotions and business development in your specific markets.

Develop marketing activities which will include product development, literature, advertising, direct mail, e-business, press releases, developing blogs, internet and retail.
Responsibility for implementation of customer relationship management.
- Devise, plan and implement marketing projects with a view to growing the position of the brands in both the UK and other new markets.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop the annual Marketing Plan (including product & range development, pricing, marketing communications & promotional activity) for the brands across all channels to deliver margin & sales targets.
- Manage the Marketing Calendars to coordinate marketing activity with new product launches and in-market events.
- Co-ordinate with internal and external departments to ensure the successful delivery of marketing activities.
- Work with the Marketing Manger to manage the budget for the Marketing Calendar and each marketing activity, preparing activity forecasts monthly and quarterly.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of performance of all marketing activities, making recommendations as necessary.
- Collect and analyse statistical data to monitor the performance/rate of sale by SKU and recommendations to improve activity levels, and take action where there are signs of poor activity levels. Regularly re-assess monitoring criteria.
- Remain aware of developments within the skincare and cosmetic fields in order to highlight new trends, products and competitor activity, developing strategies to minimise potential threats and maximise possible opportunities.
- Brief/present to relevant departments on all external communications.
Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:

Proven skills in a similar role ideally in a cosmetics and toiletries environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work using own initiative, to be proactive and prioritise a wide range of duties whilst working to deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical, administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
