Description:
Our client supply Prescribing Decision Support software into the Primary Care health market. The product is embedded into the majority of GP practice systems, providing prescribers with support by way of information or drug switch messages.
As a result of continued expansion, we seek an Account Manager to join the Sales Team.
Overview:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing existing client relationships to the highest satisfaction levels while being accountable for retaining existing revenues and growing new revenues from the client base.
The Account Manager will cover the South East and London working alongside the Business Development Manager of the same territory. You will either be based within your designated area and be home based or in the Midlands where commuting to the client site will be possible. Our client can offer total flexibility with reference to home working should this be required, although regular meetings will be held at head office in Coventry.
Role Profile:

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, a member of the management team
- Maintenance of existing client relationships
- To further develop existing client relationships and to be the main point of contact
- Develop a sales strategy to ensure the renewal of software contracts
- Develop strong relationships through networking and be proactive in further development of business opportunities wherever possible
- Maintain a close relationship with the Business Development Manager and ensure all new business opportunities are communicated effectively
Candidate Profile:
The Account Manager will be able to demonstrate the level of maturity required to interact with GPs and senior managers in the National Health Service. The Account Manager will be able to display a track record to meet the following requirements:

Proven consultative sales skills

Evidence of building and maintaining strong client relationships

Interpersonal skills at CXO level

Demonstrable empathy with customer satisfaction

Working knowledge of Public Sector procurement process

Some proven skills in selling software solutions
-
Capacity to deal with opportunities from £20k to £200k

Clinical sales / sales of services or equipment into the NHS or medical supplies sales skills would be advantageous
